Senior Java Developer
at MIG Solutions in Amman
A Senior Java developer will be required to develop innovative solutions that meet the customers need with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, system architecture, and adherence to development goals and principles.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for J2SE/J2EE application development supporting business objectives while providing expertise in software development Lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing.
- Analyzes, designs and builds component-based applications, including introduction of an application layer, modeling techniques, component and object-oriented design, complex algorithmic coding, and systematic approaches to application integration.
- Works on new and existing applications, web applications, and infrastructure.
- Performs hands-on coding and mentors junior developers.
- Independently design, code, and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
- Mentor and supervise junior developers.
- Define, design, and implement, multi-tier object-oriented distributed software applications.
- Analyze and suggest improvements in the overall development process.
- Construct design documents and documentation to aid in maintenance and code reuse.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of databases.
Skills
- Minimum three years of experience in developing J2SE/J2EE applications.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- SCJP, SCWCD Certifications are Required, SCBCD & SCJD & SCDJWS is a plus.
- Solid knowledge in J2SE (Swing, Collections, Multi Threading, JDBC, RMI, JNDI, JNI, JMX, Java Mail, Reflection, ...etc).
- Solid knowledge in J2EE (JSP's, Servlets, Web Services, JMS, EJB, ...etc)
- Strong Object Oriented Analysis & Design skills.
- Strong knowledge in Design Patterns.
- Experience working on various application servers (Tomcat, Weblogic)
- Hands on Experience on various database vendors (Mysql, Oracle)
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English language.
- Poses high ethical standards.
- Creative and innovative.
- Strong communications skills.
- Excellent team skills and positive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent). Masters degree is a plus.
