Senior Java/Portal Developer
at Mannai Corporation in Qatar
Profile:
Candidates should have at least 3+ years of experience with strong knowledge in one or more of the following:
Developing and implementing highly complex technical solutions in a J2EE N-Tier environment.
Ability to participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Select technologies, recommend architectures and create technical design based on client requirements
Experience working in a fast changing environment with tight deadlines
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and technical decisions
Supervise the work of developers in the team and ensure the work gets done correctly and on time
Work with project managers and/or clients to scope work, produce estimates and to help define deliverables and timelines
Implementing process on all the SDLC phases
Gathering knowledge on different domains
Goal Setting and monitoring for team resources
Arranging training to team for latest Technology.
Ready and willing to work in projects located in other geographies (Arabian Gulf, Middle East & Africa).
Ability to work under short deadlines
Skills Required:
3 or more years of Java experience managing application design, software development, maintenance and delivery with at least 2 years with application servers; e.g. Oracle 8i/9i/10g/11i Application Server; IBM Websphere, Tomcat, or BEA Weblogic; Apache.
2+ years experience developing Web application
Strong experience with Web architecture and Web design and development tools and languages, e.g. Java Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Javabeans/EJBs, UNIX, JavaScript, AJAX, SOAP, XML/XSLT, HTML, Struts, Spring, Hibernate
Knowledge of RDBMS, database design. Worked with at least one of the following: Oracle, Sybase, SQLServer, or PostgreSQL
Experience in Oracle pl/sql , oracle forms and reports preferred.
Oracle Portal, Weblogic Portal , Oracle Webcenter experience is added advantage.
Education Needed:
Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Engineering/HRMS/Information Technology/Business Management/Accounting/CPA
